In 2025, we were named a Finalist in the Guides for Brides Awards, proudly awarded Best Countryside Wedding Venue by For Better For Worse and won at the Hitched Awards for the second year.
Previously, in 2023, we were shortlisted for the Guides For Brides Awards and a finalist in The British Wedding Awards.
We won our first award, just two years after opening, being Highly Commended in the Best Newcomer category at the prestigious British Wedding Awards 2020.

Everything was perfect; clean, beautifully maintained, and the internal decor was spot on. One of the reasons we booked here was because everything was clearly very organised, and the service during the booking and viewing was of very high quality. We knew everything would be taken care of!
Polly was extremely helpful and communicative throughout the entire process, including answering last-minute questions promptly and patiently. All of our guests commented on how impeccable the service was throughout the day. Everything was clear, and everyone was very warm. WE LOVE POLLY!!!!!! From the venue tour, we knew we would be in good hands with Polly as our wedding manager. She made us feel so taken care of and did the same with all of our family and wedding party. The quality of food was very high.
Amazing location for a wedding. Has the wow factor from the moment you walk in. Becky was extremely friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much. Katy, Becky and Laura were all excellent, and again, nothing was too much trouble.
Laura made the administrative side super simple. The service during our wedding was exceptional. Couldn’t have been any better! Everything worked like clockwork. Re catering team and Kayla – We couldn’t have asked for a better catering manager for our wedding. From the very first conversation to the final moments of the day, the service was exceptional in every sense. What stood out most was the level of personal care — nothing ever felt generic or routine. Every detail was handled with genuine attention, calm professionalism, and a warmth that made us feel completely looked after.

Katie was amazing and always very helpful and supportive! Jenna was incredible, always on it, super well organised and prepared and sweet! Jenna was really amazing and does Holmewood Hall a great service by representing them.
From start to finish, we enjoyed connecting with her and were really grateful for her always being available, friendly and efficient. We were also in touch with Katie for almost a year before booking, and her helpful updates and always being so accommodating were the original reasons that we chose Holmewood Hall as our wedding location. Both team members are fantastic, and we are so grateful to have been in contact with them.
It was all beautiful. The house was spotless, and everything looked exceptional. But this is true for every single time we have visited. The rooms were immaculate. The grounds were well maintained! It made such a massive difference to our photos.
The bedrooms were all beautifully presented and clean. Everyone commented on the rooms and how nice they were! Katie and Becky were amazing; they were very accommodating as we spent 18 months coming back to the venue before we booked it. Nothing was ever too much for them, answering questions promptly and in plenty of detail. Polly was AMAZING. We had so many questions, which were always answered quickly.
During the build-up, we went to see the venue and every single time people were asking how the plans were, which made it feel very special. On our wedding day, everything was absolutely amazing. Every single member of staff working was happy, kind, and funny, and they really made our wedding day special.
The guys in the kitchen! The food was amazing; everyone commented on the quality of the food and the high standard of it. People are still talking to us about the food!! Great choice of beers, wines, spirits, long drinks and shots. Love the Holmewood Hall gin too.
The house was magical with all the Christmas trees and decorations, which suited our Christmas-themed wedding. It was clean, tidy and well maintained.
The wedding day staff were amazing. Laura and Michaela are assets to Holmewood Hall. All the waiting staff were very attentive and professional in their approach. The clear up team also need a mention as all our stuff was packed away well, ready for our departure.
The wedding breakfast food, the quality was fantastic and matched what we had received at our trial meal. All drinks were good. I was glad to receive a poinsettia cocktail in my room (when I thought I’d miss out). The wine choices offered for the wedding breakfast were great. I’ve received many compliments about how nice the rose wine was.
You exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to revisit some of your events.

Our Personal Wedding Manager Jenna was absolutely amazing; we don’t know where to start with how incredible Jenna and the team were. She took control of everything; We can’t thank her enough! She went above and beyond, she is a true asset to Holmewood Hall and we can’t thank Jenna and the team enough.

A classic country home with intricate details that transport guests to a different time, engrossing them in an Austen-esque experience. Ivy trailing across the walls and windows, twinkling with candlelight, set the scene for a romantic fairytale that’s about to unfold. 15 rooms of varying themes provide a combination of comfort and aesthetic to guests who have the assurance of a worry-free night following their celebrations.
Guests raved about the meal and the accommodations for dietary restrictions they received. The selections were varied but equal in their quality. Drinks waiters and bar staff ensured that no glass remained empty and that all guests had the chance to enjoy whatever beverage they pleased.
Laura was absolutely a dream to work with. She met all of my needs and exceeded my expectations. I didn’t have to lift a finger on the wedding day! Keep up the amazing work. If I could relive my wedding day ten times over, I would still choose Holmewood each time.

Absolutely beautiful venue! Friendly staff answered all our questions and gave us space to walk around alone, as well as giving a tour. No need for lots of decorations, but some of the additional structures, like the flower wall and LOVE letters, were nice for pictures and to add some colour.
The dining room was set up perfectly and looked gorgeous. All the rooms were stunning, and guests loved the venue too. Gorgeous grounds. The patio space was ideal for the reception, and the lawn was large and nice for games and photos. The setup was lovely and done as we wished, our Personal Wedding Manager was quietly in the background and ensured it ran smoothly. Staff serving food and drinks were brilliant.
Rain meant we couldn’t have our planned outdoor ceremony, but the alternative set-up was done perfectly and without any questions needing to be asked, so it caused no stress at all. We were moved outside as soon as we were able.
Incredible food! All three courses were amazing, and guests loved it – we had a lot of compliments on the food provided. Thank you to Laura for helping us have the most incredible wedding day!
Beautiful, period features are a highlight. Kept clean and well/tastefully decorated. Before the wedding, we received a warm welcome, emails were responded to quickly, and all questions were answered. Nothing was too much trouble.
Lee and Laura were excellent. Communication was very good with quick responses to emails, and questions were answered. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. All team members were excellent throughout the day. The bar staff were attentive and flexible with guests, encouraging them to utilise their drinks tokens and also with our pre-paid bar tab.
Canapes were delicious, and lots of our guests mentioned how much they enjoyed them. Excellent that these could be done gluten-free. The fish and chips were excellent. It was brilliant that this could all be gluten-free and that the kitchen could be so accommodating with this. As a coeliac bride, this made a big difference to me, enabling me to enjoy the day without risk of contamination or having to check if food was gluten-free. It made me relax and trust in the kitchen and was delicious too, so thank you so much. All bar staff were very attentive, friendly and professional. All staff were excellent and contributed to running a really slick and well-organised day from beginning to clean up and breakfast the next day. A number of our guests noted how well organised the day was, and it meant we could really enjoy ourselves and took away any stress/worry from the day.
