A Historic Tudor Mansion Wedding Venue in Cambridgeshire

The house was magical with all the Christmas trees and decorations, which suited our Christmas-themed wedding. It was clean, tidy and well maintained.

The wedding day staff were amazing. Laura and Michaela are assets to Holmewood Hall. All the waiting staff were very attentive and professional in their approach. The clear up team also need a mention as all our stuff was packed away well, ready for our departure.

The wedding breakfast food,  the quality was fantastic and matched what we had received at our trial meal. All drinks were good. I was glad to receive a poinsettia cocktail in my room (when I thought I’d miss out). The wine choices offered for the wedding breakfast were great. I’ve received many compliments about how nice the rose wine was.

You exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to revisit some of your events.

It was all beautiful. The house was spotless, and everything looked exceptional. But this is true for every single time we have visited. The rooms were immaculate. The grounds were well maintained! It made such a massive difference to our photos.

The bedrooms were all beautifully presented and clean. Everyone commented on the rooms and how nice they were! Katie and Becky were amazing; they were very accommodating as we spent 18 months coming back to the venue before we booked it. Nothing was ever too much for them, answering questions promptly and in plenty of detail. Polly was AMAZING. We had so many questions, which were always answered quickly.

During the build-up, we went to see the venue and every single time people were asking how the plans were, which made it feel very special. On our wedding day, everything was absolutely amazing. Every single member of staff working was happy, kind, and funny, and they really made our wedding day special.

The guys in the kitchen! The food was amazing; everyone commented on the quality of the food and the high standard of it. People are still talking to us about the food!! Great choice of beers, wines, spirits, long drinks and shots. Love the Holmewood Hall gin too.

Katie was amazing and always very helpful and supportive! Jenna was incredible, always on it, super well organised and prepared and sweet! Jenna was really amazing and does Holmewood Hall a great service by representing them.

From start to finish, we enjoyed connecting with her and were really grateful for her always being available, friendly and efficient. We were also in touch with Katie for almost a year before booking, and her helpful updates and always being so accommodating were the original reasons that we chose Holmewood Hall as our wedding location. Both team members are fantastic, and we are so grateful to have been in contact with them.

Becca and I honestly could not have asked for a more beautiful venue. Holmewood Hall is absolutely stunning inside; every room feels elegant and finished to such a high standard.

From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how well presented everything was. The decor is classic and stylish without feeling over-the-top. The grounds were stunning – so well looked after and full of charm. Becca and I loved how everything looked on the day. The gardens made the perfect backdrop for photos and gave the whole place such a calm, romantic feel. The bedrooms were fantastic – beautifully decorated, spotless, and really comfortable. Becca and I had so many compliments from our guests about how lovely their rooms were.

As suppliers in the wedding industry ourselves, we’ve seen and worked at so many beautiful venues over the years – so choosing just one for our own wedding wasn’t easy. But from the moment we visited Holmewood Hall, we knew it was the one. Becky gave us such a warm and informative tour during our initial enquiry, and it really stood out head and shoulders above the rest. Holmewood Hall and Country House Weddings were the standout by a country mile. The service in the lead-up to our wedding was absolutely spot on. Polly was fantastic – super organised, responsive, and always one step ahead. She made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free, which is exactly what you want when you're planning something so important. All the staff on the day were absolutely epic.

This questionnaire feels a little different for us compared to most couples, as we already have a unique working relationship with Holmewood Hall and CHW, but we’ve answered this with our couple/customer hats on – and honestly, we couldn’t fault a single thing. Polly was absolutely incredible – both as our Personal Wedding Manager and as someone we’ve now seen in action from both sides of the industry. The food at our wedding breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Every course was beautifully presented and packed full of flavour – you could tell it was all cooked with real care.  The welcome drinks were perfect – beautifully presented and set the tone for the day straight away. The bar and beverage options were brilliant – a great range of drinks to suit everyone, Honestly, every single member of the team at Holmewood Hall deserves a huge thank you and a round of applause.

Our Personal Wedding Manager Jenna was absolutely amazing; we don’t know where to start with how incredible Jenna and the team were. She took control of everything; We can’t thank her enough! She went above and beyond, she is a true asset to Holmewood Hall and we can’t thank Jenna and the team enough.

The grounds are stunning - we had so many people comment on how amazing the house looked from the outside. Any contact with the venue was always positive, and they could not have done enough.

From finding out Jenna was our wedding manager, to the moment we checked out the day after the wedding, we were in frequent contact, and she was so reassuring and supportive. Jenna is very personable, and I honestly can't compliment her enough. Even our friends and family said how amazing she was. She's an absolute credit to Holmewood Hall!

We opted for the afternoon tea upgrade, and it was amazing. We had so many people say how lovely they were. The wedding breakfast - all the food was cooked to perfection, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

The attentive and knowledgeable staff give potential clients the peace of mind they need to know that their event will be appropriately handled. Consistent communication provided a worry-free experience while in the thick of stressful wedding planning.

A classic country home with intricate details that transport guests to a different time, engrossing them in an Austen-esque experience. Ivy trailing across the walls and windows, twinkling with candlelight, set the scene for a romantic fairytale that's about to unfold. 15 rooms of varying themes provide a combination of comfort and aesthetic to guests who have the assurance of a worry-free night following their celebrations.

Guests raved about the meal and the accommodations for dietary restrictions they received. The selections were varied but equal in their quality. Drinks waiters and bar staff ensured that no glass remained empty and that all guests had the chance to enjoy whatever beverage they pleased.

Laura was absolutely a dream to work with. She met all of my needs and exceeded my expectations. I didn't have to lift a finger on the wedding day! Keep up the amazing work. If I could relive my wedding day ten times over, I would still choose Holmewood each time.
