For many years Holmewood Hall, previously owned by British Sugar, has been used by the village of Holme for their popular 1940s themed weekend. Sadly for 2019 the weekends festivities have been cancelled, so to still mark this event, Country House Weddings is delighted to announce our first 1940’s theme Dinner Dance!
During WW11 SOE used Holmewood Hall for training purposes and with our beautifully refurbished venue, keeping most of the original features, we are sure you will find it well worth attending.
The evening will start with a drinks reception and a live singer who will be delighting you with songs from the 1940’s, a delicious three course meal will then be served followed by disco entertainment with our resident DJ so you can dance the night away – you can even stay over in one of our guest bedrooms!
You can check into your bedroom from 5.00pm and the house will be open from 6.30pm for you to explore or stroll around the grounds of the house.
From 6.45pm you will be greeted with a glass of prosecco in our Great Hall and the Garden Bar will be open for you to have a further drink or two as you sit and relax in one of the many reception rooms before dinner.
Our Chefs have put together a specially selected menu for you and dinner will be served in our beautiful dining room at 7.30pm.
The evening will then carry on in the Vault where our resident DJ will have you dancing away to 1940’s theme music until 12.00am.
