Famous Faces Set to Wed in 2019

It was Shakespeare who once said “What great ones do, the less will prattle of”. Those words are as true today as they were in the 17th century. Just last year we witnessed some stellar celebrity weddings, from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to a Belieber wedding and 2019 is set to be equally action-packed!

In June 2018, we saw Game of Thrones’ heart-throb Kit Harington marry long term sweetheart Rose Leslie. This year will likely see Harington’s co-star Sophie Turner and her long-time beau Joe Jonas tie the knot. Joe and the eldest of the Stark sisters have been dating for over two years and got engaged in October 2017.

2018 featured not one, but two royal weddings with Prince Harry’s cousin Eugenie marrying long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, a wine merchant and brand ambassador in October 2018. Sadly, there are currently no further royal weddings to note on your calendar for 2019. However, it is rumored that Hollywood royalty Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are set to wed this year. They only got engaged on Valentine’s Day but the pair have been dating for a couple of years and have apparently been talking about getting married for some time. As both have been married before (Perry to British comedian Russell Brand and Bloom to Australian-born Victoria’s Secret lingerie model Miranda Kerr), maybe it won’t be long before we see them taking the plunge again.

The wedding of the year was supposed to be Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber’s, but it looks like the pair actually got married in secret last summer! There is still a great degree of uncertainty surrounding this fact as celeb magazines like @People are suggesting that “Justin Bieber Put Wedding Plans on Hold to Focus on ‘Getting Well Mentally’”, as recently as Feb 14th 2019. Whatever the truth is, we wish the two lovebirds well.

Another case of will-they-wont-they, have-they-haven’t-they is Forbes youngest self-made billionaire,  Kylie Jenner’s wedding to rapper Travis Scott. The couple welcomed their baby daughter, Stormi Webster, into the world in February 2018 and have apparently been referring to each other as husband and wife on social media. Jenner boasted on Instagram about a luxurious gift of a white and pink rose arrangement in October 2018 in which she referred to Travis as ‘hubby’. Surely it won’t be long before we see this pair getting hitched in a truly lavish do. If big sister Kim Kardashian’s wedding was anything to go by, then Kylie’s wedding is sure to be a huge event.

2019 was also due to see A Star Is Born lead actress Lady Gaga and fiancé Christian Carino wed in a ‘hugely elaborate’ ceremony. Sources had said that Gaga was ‘over the moon’ as her love life and working life were both going so well back in December. However, the latest news is that the 32-year old Academy Award winning actress and her 49 year old talent agent fiancé have split. The rumours have only increased since Lady Gaga attended the GRAMMY awards alone and without her engagement ring on the 10th February. Confirmation of their alleged break-up has still not been given by Lady Gaga’s representatives, so what was sure to have been the most epic wedding of the year might still happen – so watch this space.
