Holmewood Hall is delighted to announce our next Dinner Date evening – Friday 13th September 2019!
Join us and explore the venue once again to experience the presentation and taste a selection of our Chef’s mouth-watering creations whilst sampling the excellent service our waiting staff provide.
The evening will start with a drinks reception, a delicious three course meal will then be served followed by a disco with our resident DJ so you can dance the night away with your loved ones – you can even stay over in one of your guest bedrooms or the impressive Renaissance Suite!
The house is open from 5.00pm for you to wander at your leisure, check into your bedroom for the evening, take in the gorgeous gold room again or stroll around the grounds of the house.
From 7.00pm you will be greeted with a glass of prosecco in our Great Hall and the Garden bar will be open for you to have a further drink or two at or sit and relax in one of the many reception rooms before dinner.
Dinner is then served in our beautiful dining room at 7.30pm where just the two of you can dine, or you can bring mum’s and dads, sisters, brothers, best men or bridesmaids too… The more the merrier!
The evening will then carry on in the Vault where our resident DJ will have you dancing away until 12.00am.
Our Chefs have put together a specially selected menu, from both our Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer main menus, for you to come along and enjoy….
Three Course Evening Meal
Wild Mushroom Risotto (V)
Wild mushrooms sautéed with garlic and fresh herbs topped with rocket and parmesan finished with herb oil
Smoked Haddock Rarebit
Soft poached egg with creamy smoked Haddock on a toasted crouton topped with a Welsh rarebit
Chicken Liver Parfait with a Red Onion & Grape Chutney
A smooth pate flavoured with lardons of bacon, cream and brandy – garnished with salad leaves and served with toasted crouton and fruit chutney
Chicken and Asparagus Salad
Served with Baby Spinach, Stilton and Pine Nuts
English Lamb Rump
With Garlic and Rosemary Potato Gratin and a Red Wine Jus
Pan Fried Chicken with Chargrilled Asparagus
Served on wilted Spinach with Roasted Shallots and Thyme Jus
Traditional Roast Topside of Beef with Yorkshire Pudding
Served on a bed of horseradish mash and a rich red wine jus
Croustade of Mushroom (V)
Baked Portobello mushroom filled with a mushroom fricassee and wrapped in crispy puff pastry
Dark Chocolate Fondant (V)
A dreamy chocolate dessert with cherries and Mascarpone cream
Trio of desserts
Eton Mess, Chocolate and Salted Caramel Brownie & Vanilla Pannacotta
Handmade crisp butter pastry with a rich lemon filling, served with clotted cream, raspberries and caramelised lemon zest
Baked New York Style Cheesecake
Finished with summer berries- just like in the Big Apple!
Your Dinner Date evening is £46.00 per person which would include a welcome drink, three course meal with tea/coffee and evening entertainment
Bedrooms are offered on a first come first served basis at £100.00 per room which includes breakfast the next morning. The Renaissance Suite is available for £250.00.
